"Hi, I'm Greg! I take great pride and joy from helping those who need it. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and I love assisting students in various subjects, especially in math. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects, and I consistently received A's from middle school onward in each of the math classes I took. I will never forget the first time I received straight A's in all of my classes in middle school, and I aimed to match that every year since then.
I tutored for years throughout high school and college, working with elementary and middle school students and those with special needs, in a wide range of subjects but with an emphasis on math. These sessions took place in one-on-one settings and through volunteer work, both in and out of classrooms. Throughout my time as an Economics major, I had to enroll in and master several different advanced math courses in order to be successful and attain my degree. Math has become second nature to me and I hope to continue to pass on my knowledge to anyone in need of assistance.
I am very patient and I work diligently to ensure those I tutor understand the concepts behind each topic, not just the answers themselves. I prefer to teach by providing the tools needed, then guiding students by letting them figure out the answers on their own, rather than providing the answers outright. I like to break down subjects into their most basic elements, with the aim to make even the most complex subjects approachable and understandable. I've always felt a great teacher can make all the difference, and I strive to be that for everyone I teach. I am easy to contact and I will always do my best to provide a prompt response. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a tutoring session!" less...
