"I have obtained a bachelors degree in accounting, Masters of Business Administration, and Masters of Accounting degree. I have accumulated 5 years of experience in accounting and auditing. In addition, I have lectured college level- accounting courses (Managerial, Tax, Intermediate, Principles of Accounting, Governmental Accounting). In the near future, I will began teaching auditing courses. I have tutored accounting, business law, management, history, and social studies courses for many years. I bring the uniqueness of blended education and experience in the aforementioned subjects. Primarily I have tutored adults, high school, and middle school students.

I love the opportunity to help students. I care about the success of the students. A great joy that I have is when a student has the "I got it" or the "I understand" moment. It is as if a light bulb goes off for the student. When I have helped someone accomplish a goal, I feel accomplished. When tutoring I like to find out what the student knows and build from what they know. What I have learned as a tutor and a teacher that not every one learns at the same pace. I think it is important that tutors and teachers know how to adjust to meet the needs of the student.

Accounting requires a retention of concepts. I have always told my students that accounting builds off of one subject to the next subject. If an individual doesn't understand a concept from a previous lesson, it may be difficult to work on the next topic without understanding the concept. With this being said, managerial and financial accounting are very complex subjecst. Managerial accounting requires patience and an understanding of the fundamental concepts. As a tutor, I am able to put forth the patience needed to help the students understand the concepts.

As a business tutor, I am able to bring the subjects to life. With my experience, I love to use real life examples to help the students understand the subjects. Often times, just reading a book doesn't help drive home the concepts." less...
