"I am a high school math teacher with 4 years of teaching experience and 2 years of tutoring experience. The courses I've taught are Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and College Algebra. During my 4 years teaching, I had one year of online teaching experience and 3 years of in-person teaching experience. I have provided tutoring for individuals in need of help with Elementary Math, Middle School Math, High School Math, GED Course Math, and Introductory College Math. The ages of the individuals I have provided tutoring services for have ranged from 10 years old to 30 years old.

My method of teaching/tutoring gives students the opportunity to be hands on with their learning. I assess the students current level of understanding of the material and use that to guide what type of instruction the student needs. Students will be given an explanation of any information necessary to understand and work on the material. I then provide students with plenty of time to attempt problems and concepts on their own with enough help that students' time with me is productive, but also gives them the opportunity to discover and understand the material conceptually so it can be built upon for later topics." less...
