With 16 years of science teaching experience, focusing on high school chemistry and physics, I am well prepared to help you achieve success in your science class.

I hold a Masters of Education degree in middle and secondary instruction. I have also earned Level II teaching certification in Pennsylvania in the areas of chemistry (grades 7-12), physics (7-12), and general science (7-12).

I am patient and kind. I have worked with students at all levels of academic ability and have helped them achieve success. In the classroom, I have taught general science, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. I know the most common mistakes students make and how to help students recognize and avoid them. I have also developed effective techniques to help students better articulate what they do and don't understand, so that they can get unstuck and become successful.

I love to get to know my students as people as well as learners. I want to be one of their biggest cheerleaders. I am authentic and take a genuine interest in the lives of my students. I believe in them and aim to show them that they should believe in themselves. I love to joke and laugh with my students, all the while encouraging them that they can achieve the success that sometimes eludes them.

Though many students find science difficult and intimidating, I believe that all students can achieve success with the right support.
