"Education - I grew up and attended university in Germany, graduating in Physics with the equivalent of a Master's degree. (I have been living in Macomb County for well over a decade now.) The path through the broad and fascinating subjects of physics (mechanics, electromagnetism, particle physics, optics, theoretical quantum dynamics, etc.) also provided me with a very strong background in math, including algebra, calculus, differential equations, analysis and vector analysis.

Experience - Although my experience as a tutor is still somewhat limited, I believe that my passion for / knowledge in math and science can help students overcome their obstacles. My daily work in my current career as a software developer has helped me to become very good at "troubleshooting" and identifying the root cause of a problem.

Approach - Every student has his/her own story, his/her own strengths and weaknesses. I will patiently work with the students to identify with which specific steps/concepts they are struggling. In that context, it is important for the student to understand that "It's OK to be wrong" during the tutoring sessions. Getting to the root of the problem(s) will only work if the student is not afraid to open up.
