"Hi there, my name is Anvita and I am a medical student. I took a non-traditional approach to medical school - I have an undergrad degree in Biochemistry, and a Masters in Education. After college I joined Teach for America and taught High School Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy. 'Teaching' my patients to be healthy in a way that makes sense to them is one of the reasons I want to be a doctor, and one of the reasons I want to help YOU with your goals. I've also taken a lot of standardized test and spent hundreds of hours preparing for them, which is fun for no one. But, by working together, we can figure out how to make preparing and testing as painless as possible for you.
I have a Masters in Secondary Education and I have specifically taught High School Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy. I have previously held teaching certifications in these courses as well.
I am currently in medical school thus, have delved deep into the information on the MCAT tests. Additionally, I received 130s on both the Biology and Psychology sections of the MCAT - and they are my favorite subjects! Due to my experience serving as a literary editor and working closely with physicians to write both research and clinical documentation, I also thrive in my approach to the CARS section, and with application organization, writing, and editing. Lastly, I made significant lifestyle changes to prepare myself for the day-long marathon the MCAT is, so I can help you with that too.
I'm here for YOU and the goals you have for yourself; together we can accomplish them! Reach out to learn more, and schedule a lesson." less...
