"Hi there! I had an overall ACT score of 34 with a 35 in the math section. I also scored a perfect 800 on the math section of the SAT. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a strong emphasis in Mathematics and graduated with a GPA of 3.8 in my major. I have tutored children of all ages in a variety of subjects ranging from music theory, test prep and mathematical concepts. While I enjoy teaching a broad range of subjects, my absolute favorite subjects to teach are mathematical subjects and standardized test prep. I especially love to help students struggling in these subjects and to see their tremendous growth and improvement. My approach to tutoring is to explain the material as simply as possible, and to give the student plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I believe making my sessions interactive and a welcoming space, allows students to comfortably learn without fear of judgement.

As a prior student myself, I have a strong understanding of where the student is coming from and the apprehension they have when approaching the subject. I myself used to struggle tremendously with mathematical related concepts and found it difficult to ask for help. Due to my past experiences, I have a strong ability to patiently explain concepts to the student and create an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions whenever they want. I also like to ensure that they actually understand the material and walk away from my classes feeling confident that they have accomplished their goals!
