"I retired from teaching high school mathematics in 2015 with 43 years of classroom experience at both independent and public high schools. During that time, I have taught all standard high school mathematics courses at basic, college preparatory and honors levels. I also have experience in teaching small groups of students during summer school sessions. Besides tutoring individual students, I always made myself available to give individual extra help to students in my classes. Since my retirement I have completed 800+ hours tutoring high school and college students.

My broad background enables me to communicate effectively with students of varying abilities. I do individual preparations for each tutoring session. During the session I want to give the student a complete understanding of the concepts covered as well as examples for the students to work through in order to gain mastery of the concepts.

The courses in which I have the strongest background are Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus and Calculus. I have taught and tutored these courses at college preparatory and honors levels.

I am generally available from 9 AM to 9 PM every day, including weekends. I will travel to the student's choice of a tutoring location or use Zoom if driving is not an option. My base rate is $75.00 per hour for in-person tutoring and $65 for on-line sessions, lessons for small groups of students can be arranged.
