"I love consulting, coaching, and teaching! But I especially like working with people who need help with communication. I have had the honor of supporting hundreds of students and professionals with interviews, public speaking, marketing/sales presentations, college/grad school admissions, personal statements, and more.
In today's world where AI is becoming an even greater resource, I'm finding it helpful to guide people in how to use AI in writing their presentations or essays. I am able to support from an ethical standpoint (for education settings) and in a practical way to help you harness the real power of AI for idea generation and essay refinement.
I have coached many professionals and students through interviews and personal statements for admission to middle school, high school, college, grad school, and medical residency. I ran the public speaking lab at Pepperdine for a year. I enjoy coaching communication skills of all kinds--public speaking, interviewing skills, and even interpersonal communication situations (difficult conversations, salary negotiation, etc.). I have coached professionals and students for whom English is their second language in speaking and writing in work, professional, and personal settings. Finally, I can assist with college admissions as I worked in the admissions office at Pepperdine and DeVry University and coached students at Kaplan Test Prep.
To help you know me better, I participated in speech and debate, theater, and math and science competitions in high school. I then earned a BA in Religion at Pepperdine University. I took graduate-level coursework in Communication at The University of Oklahoma and Pepperdine University. My studies included Rhetoric, Interpersonal Communication, Cross-Cultural Communication, Organizational Communication, and Crisis Communication. Finally, I completed my MBA and have worked as an administrator in education organizations for over twenty years, focusing on creating supportive academic spaces and growing enrollment for schools." less...
