I have been teaching, coaching, providing intervention, and nurturing learners ages Kindergarten through 12th grade for over 20 years. I have gained a heart for all styles of learners.

I specialize in Test-Prep (STAAR Readiness--Texas State Assessment), and Gifted and Talented Test-Prep (CoGat, NNAT3, TTCT). I'm a seasoned Cursive handwriting teacher and am a Dyslexia Specialist trained in the "Reading by Design" approach. I also provide enrichment for Gifted Students and have spent many years providing intervention for students on the Spectrum, and have experience working with 2E (Twice Exceptional) students.

I have a BA Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington, and five teaching certificates: K-12 Special Education, English 4-8, English 8-12, ESL, EC-6 Generalist, and Dyslexia “Reading by Design”. In my former career, I was editor of two corporate publications and have experience in desktop publishing. I enjoy helping others develop their writing techniques and also have a passion for teaching manuscript and cursive writing, as well as the mechanics of grammar and punctuation. I provide proofreading / editing services as well and coach beginning teachers on classroom management and teaching techniques.

What makes me an exceptional tutor is that I have dedication and a love for passing on an educational legacy to the next generation of both students and teachers.
