"I've always had a love for math which led me to study mechanical engineering for my undergraduate degree. I have taken math and physics heavy course load since high school. In high school, I completed AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Physics C: Mechanics and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism. And throughout college I have taken many math and physics based courses.
I have been tutoring for almost 10 years, working with students from a range of backgrounds. My experience includes working with elementary students in the classroom, foster kids at a group home, and various private tutoring roles where I worked to improve students' math, spelling, and writing skills beyond a level being taught in the classroom. In addition, I've worked on take-home projects assigned to students, helping them with the creative and application process.
I'm a patient tutor, happy to work with kids from all backgrounds with any level of math skills. I take the time to understand what each of my students need and tailor my teaching to best fit their learning style. Math and physics have always been my forte and I hope to bring some of the joy I found in math to my students.
I also would love to help with improving study skills as I believe that learning how to manage time is one of the best ways to succeed academically. In addition to math, I enjoy teaching all elementary school subjects such as spelling, reading, vocabulary, science, or working on projects.
Let me know how I can help you or your child succeed!" less...
