I have lots of experience teaching and tutoring students in grades 4-12, adult learners, and professionals who want to enhance their competitive edge. My approach is to use multiple levels, approaches and texts to help learners advance. I find that technology is a vital tool to add relevance and interest. I aim to make learning a fun experience and to approach subjects with teaching methods which are both understandable and enjoyable. A teacher since age 22, I am certified in elementary and middle grades. Half of my career was spent as a high school teacher. Currently I teach adults at a technical college, as well as tutoring students of multiple ages. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in education. At Georgia State I completed both a Masters in Education and an Educational Specialist Degree. My training and vast experience with students have prepared me to help with ESL, grammar, reading, TOEFL, English, vocabulary, writing, and history.
