"Hello! I’m Kelly, and I’d love to help you tackle math and Microsoft Excel assignments, test prep, and more. With the right support, enough time, and willingness to practice foundations, I wholeheartedly believe that anyone can succeed in math!

My favorite subjects to tutor are pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and Excel. I recently earned Microsoft Excel certifications at both the Associate and Expert levels, and I’m also IXL certified!

I first started at the tutoring center on my university’s campus where I peer-tutored while earning my B.A. in Mathematics. Within a year I became a grader for a couple of my professors’ other classes and was trusted to grade math tests & hw assignments with accuracy. These jobs led to a supervising role at another learning center on campus and shortly after I began private tutoring.

After graduating, I taught prep courses such as GED math & pre-college algebra at a local state college as an adjunct instructor for about 6 years. For the following 7 years, I ventured into the corporate world of spreadsheets, formulas, and project management.

When the pandemic hit, my day job transitioned to a WFH position, so I started tutoring at a local private academy. I witnessed firsthand the negative impacts Covid-19 had on students and wanted to help rebuild their foundations.

Today, I look forward to seeing more moments of clarity, pride, and relief on student faces. My goal is to connect the material a student needs to learn with what they already understand, while encouraging independent thinking.
