"Welcome! I am a pediatric Occupational Therapist with 19 years of experience in schools, early intervention & private practice. I earned a post-professional doctoral degree in 2011 and my research was on the use of evidence-based practice among school-based OT’s. I developed a course for the study participants and that is when my love of teaching began!

Since that time, I’ve created numerous professional development courses and have acted as a clinical supervisor for OT fieldwork students for over 15 years. This involves teaching, mentoring, and providing feedback on the Fundamentals of Practice, Basic Tenets, Screening & Evaluation, Intervention, Management of OT Services, Communication & Professional Behaviors. I am also a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist & ADHD Rehabilitation Services Provider and have completed additional training in Sensory Processing, Assistive Technology, the PLAY Project, DIR/Floortime, Handwriting without Tears & the Size Matters Handwriting.

I have an understanding of pediatric OT, developmental disabilities & how they affect participation that simply cannot be taught from a textbook and was only gained by working directly with hundreds of neurodivergent children. I use this knowledge to tutor future OT’s & mentor new OT’s so that they feel more confident and prepared. Whether it be studying for a test or certification exam, writing up an evaluation report, preparing for an upcoming IEP meeting, or discussing a challenging case, I am happy to support you!
