FREE AP Calculus BC Group session this Thursday, March 13th.

8-week Group Review class for AP Calculus BC starting week of March 17th.

Get well prepared for the upcoming AP exam!

(I may also provide a class and free session for Calculus AB if there is enough interest.)

Here are some details of the 8-week class:

1) 3 LIVE recorded sessions/week: Focus on concepts for MCQs/FRQs, practice, and Q&A.

2) Students may ask questions (24/7) in a Discord channel. Questions may be answered there by me or other students that may have the answers. OR, we may go through those concepts at a LIVE session.

3) Miss a session, want to review? Searchable recorded sessions available for LIVE sessions.

4) A library of instructional videos categorized by the 10 units of AP Calculus BC.

5) Video solutions of prior year FRQs.

6) Quizizz activities available.

7) Other assignments and mock tests.

Tentative Focused Live Group times:

AP Calculus BC: 8-9 pm ET on Tuesday/Thursday.

Teaching methods:

My goal: students truly understand what is happening and why each step is taken

Experience: 8 years at campus of Penn State teaching Algebra, Trigonometry, 3 semester levels of Calculus, and over 9800 Wyzant hours.

Especially in Math, it is very important to DO the work and to stay up to date. Just watching a teacher work through a problem does not necessarily mean the student can do the problem on his/her own. So, it is very important to practice problems on their own.

In tutoring sessions, we typically go through problems, and I guide students if needed. The goal is for students to eventually go through problems independently WITH UNDERSTANDING. We can cover concepts that we find that need to be reviewed, too.
