"I am a teacher certified in special education K-4 and ELA 7-12 and have been working within the education industry for over 20 years. I have experience in a plethora of settings including: the independent school district as a special needs teacher, and a high school AP psychology teacher, journalism and ELA teacher, a college psychology professor, a Montessori school teacher's aid and a special needs in home tutor with children.

In the collegiate setting, I have attained a master tutor's license and have experience as a tutor of undergraduate and graduate students and as a professor of college students. I have a master's degree in psychology and an undergraduate degree in development of family and childhood education.

I have experience in working with the general population students as well as children and adults with learning disabilities, diagnoses such as ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum students and international (ESL) students.

It's my pleasure to tutor elementary level students in all subject areas and high school/college level students in all areas except math. I also specialize in tutoring in study, test taking skills and test preparation for tests such as: general tests, the STAAR and ACT.

All of my experience has taught me that every person has the right, ability and desire to learn. My job is to create the motivation and to the find the right learning tools for each individual.
