"Hello! My name is Cole C. and I am a Percussionist, Music Educator, Music Producer and Multi-Instrumentalist based out of Los Angeles, California. My primary instrument is everything having to do with percussion, but I also play the piano, ukelele and a few other other instruments. My main percussion specialties include drum set, mallet instruments, percussion ensemble, orchestral percussion, marching percussion, latin percussion and hand percussion of various types (Cajon, African drumming, Brazilian percussion, Indian percussion, Persian percussion) and many more. I have a Bachelors degree in Percussion Performance from Chapman University along with a Master of Fine Arts in World Percussion Performance from California Institute of the Arts. I am also a music producer, and am proficient in GarageBand, Logic Pro X and Ableton Live. I produce mainly hip hop and pop music, but feel comfortable in many other styles as well. I am familiar with home recording, mixing techniques, sampling, sequencing and music notation softwares such as Sibelius as well. I feel comfortable teaching most styles of music, so don't be afraid to ask, everything is fair game!

My teaching experience is also diverse, including a large amount of private teaching, group instruction and tutoring experience. 2+ years of high school drum line instruction, 3 summers of a percussion electives class for high school students, 2+ years of private instruction/tutoring experience with students ages 5-30 years old, 2 years of collegiate level teaching experience in a classroom setting and 1 year of Kindergarten and First grade African Drumming instruction. Places I have taught include Chapman University, California Institute of the Arts, Orange High School, West Creek Academy and Music & Arts.
