"Hi, I'm Rashad. I recently graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. Throughout my time there I realized how important the information is that I received and I work tirelessly to apply it to my own life and career. However, what I realized is even more important than the information is how the information is taught. I firmly believe it is more important to focus on student engagement and their information retention rather than to just simply complete a lesson plan.

In college, I realized how important communicating often with colleagues are and forming study groups when I was introduced to upper-division courses. These two habits allowed me to turn seemingly bland course content into something that sparked my interest, as well as my colleagues.

I am very personable and I adjust my tutoring style based on the student. My goal is to make sure that the student not only performs well on assignments and tests, but to also ensure that the student receives true understanding about the subject and is able to practically apply the information to their life. I believe what makes me a great math tutor is how I tailor my approach to tutoring based on the student. I am very confident in my ability to break down seemingly complicated equations and formulas into understandable terms whether through reasoning by analogy or through first principles thinking.

I believe what makes me a great music tutor is my personal experience with instruments- specifically voice and piano since the age of 12. Not only this, but I have a burning passion for music and firmly believe that understanding music and music theory can have a very positive outcome on anyone's life.
