I come prepared with degrees from Brandeis, Brown, and Carnegie Mellon and over three decades of successful teaching in English, Social Studies, adult enrichment, and college applications/essays.

I have nearly 500 hours of 5-star-rated tutoring with warm and appreciative reviews from students, parents, and professionals from Grades 4 all the way up through adult. I am proud of my track record and invite you to look it over.

I love teaching and interacting with my students. I have won 'outstanding teacher' awards at the middle school and university levels, working at excellent public and private schools and universities as a teacher, principal, program director, and consultant. I have made multiple presentations at regional and national educators' conferences about teaching and learning, and continue to advise parents as they face the Covid Fall of 2020 with uncertainty about how best to support their children's learning.

Currently I teach full-time English, Social Studies, and test preparation in a highly-rated independent school, having also worked in diverse suburban and urban districts. I work effectively with students and adults from a wide range of backgrounds, and love what I can learn from you as well as helping you achieve your potential.

My own children helped me learn that each student finds their own path and can blossom with the right mix of patience, support, and guidance. I want for all children to become lifelong learners and to embrace their strengths and the contributions they can make to themselves and others.
