"Let's work together to unlock your child's full potential academically and beyond! I offer personalized academic support and mentorship for children, teens, and college-aged students! I have a diverse background in teaching, behavioral analysis, and mental health counseling.
I received my B.S. in Psychology from Tulane University, where I specialized in child development. During my time in New Orleans, I volunteered at a nonprofit after-school program where I helped children complete homework and strengthen their executive functioning skills.
Although I loved my time in New Orleans, I decided to move back to Atlanta, where I served as a teaching assistant at a private elementary school. I trained directly under the most coveted teachers and learned to develop and deliver reading, writing, and math instruction to students of varying abilities and needs. Wanting to hone my skills in working with children with learning disabilities, I became a registered behavior technician at the Marcus Autism Center. There, I provided individualized therapy for children with severe autism through teaching behavior regulation, communication, and language and skill acquisition.
Now, I am finishing up my Masters in Social Work at UGA (I graduate in May!) and am currently working as a child therapist in Athens. At this point in my career, I have expertly honed my skills to create services that implement evidence-based techniques to support educational success, as well as nurture emotional and psychological well-being.
Whether your child requires assistance in core subjects or seeks enrichment opportunities, I am dedicated to fostering their academic growth and confidence. I bring a compassionate and collaborative approach to tutoring and I am committed to building rapport and understanding each child's unique strengths and challenges." less...
