"I'm Sabrina! I graduated cum laude with a degree in creative writing from the University of California, Riverside. While there, I worked as a university English tutor. I helped students with a variety of English assignments, including essays, reading comprehension activities, and larger reading assignments. The majority of the students I worked with where ESL students, and my students came from a variety of backgrounds. I also helped students with non-academic works such as cover letters, grant proposals, college applications, and English GRE test prep. While employed as a university tutor, I went to a variety of workshops about resumes, cover letters, and college applications, so I'm confident in my ability to help in these areas!
After receiving my B.A., I went on to get a master's in media and public communication from the University of Denver. During this program, I worked as a teaching assistant and met with many students one-on-one to help them with their essay assignments. Additionally, as part of my program, I worked with multiple non-profits, writing memos and grant proposals which were all approved.
Now, I'm working on a Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I currently work as a teaching assistant for my department. I've taught an interpersonal communication class which fulfilled a writing requirement, which means I received additional training concerning grading college level essay writing. I've also taught a class on persuasion theory." less...
