"As a PhD student in Microbiology and Immunology, I have an advanced understanding of anatomy, physiology, biology, microbiology, and pharmacology. I acquired a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Health and Wellness Studies from Binghamton University, graduating magna cum laude with a 3.76 GPA. My undergraduate coursework included Anatomy & Physiology, Cell & Molecular Biology, Tissue Biology, Biomedical Device Infections, Genetics, and Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. By excelling in these courses, I have acquired a strong foundation in understanding the structural and functional aspects of biological systems. My current doctoral research augments my comprehension in microbial pathogenesis, immunological mechanisms, and host-pathogen interactions.
Additionally, I have extensive teaching experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for both Human Anatomy & Physiology and Cell & Molecular Biology. For years I've mentored students through laboratory dissections, helped them identify and analyze anatomical structures, assisted in coursework comprehension, and provided one-on-one academic support to over 60 students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, I currently teach medical microbiology techniques and concepts to medical students at New York Medical College. In conclusion, my experience encompasses individual tutoring and classroom instruction, allowing me to adapt to different methods of learning that will ensure that students, under my tutorship, will develop a holistic and practical understanding of the material." less...
