"Hi there! I'm a recently graduated PhD-level biologist with a passion for helping students thrive in their Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, and/or Genetics courses. As a doctoral student, I spent five years researching the population genetics and ecology of freshwater algae, gaining an in-depth understanding of the subjects that I tutor. I also taught introductory biology lab courses for both traditional and non-traditional college students, and both biology majors and non-majors. Whether biology is your passion or you are just trying to make it through a general requirement, I'll help you meet your goal with no judgement.

Before entering graduate school, I worked for three years as an environmental educator in the Philippines and the United States. I taught K-12 students about environmental science topics including the following: Fisheries Management, Stream Ecology, Entomology, Herpetology, and Night Wildlife. I also worked part-time as a standardized test tutor for high school students. I worked one-on-one with these students to help them improve their scores on the ACT and SAT. I also helped students prepare for the SAT Biology Subject Test and for AP exams in Biology and Environmental Science.
