I started my career as a Career Coach, assisting folks with resume writing, interviewing, and job searching. Then, I served as teacher and a counselor for at a public high school in the South Bronx where I taught nearly every subject and worked as a College and Career Counselor for nine years. At the college and graduate school levels, I’ve taught and tutored research methods, philosophy, education, many other subject areas for over a decade. I’ve coached students through all stages of the research and writing process—I can even help you prepare for your dreaded dissertation defense and final submission.
As an educator, I consider disability to be a natural part of the human experience and I value the strengths neurodivergent individuals have to offer the world. As a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and complex care coordinator, I’ve worked at a camp for children with autism, developed inclusive programs for individuals with Down syndrome, and created aging-in-place plans for seniors with dementia. My background in special education allows me to tailor my approach to meet your needs, teach you strategies, share assistive technology tools to help you meet your learning goals.
So if you’re in need of some last minute assistance or interested in working with a professional educator who can coach and mentor you (or your loved one) over the long haul, I look forward to working with you." less...
