"Hello, my name is Eric! I'm originally from Erie, PA, where I graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. While at Gannon University I spent time working in the Math & Science Center, tutoring fellow undergraduate students in various math and science subjects, including : calculus I, calculus II, pre-calculus, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. I have also tutored students in various chemistry subjects, with my expertise centered around general chemistry. After graduating from Gannon University, I moved to Richmond, VA to get my PhD in Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. At VCU, I took several graduate level chemistry courses that have sharpened my expertise, as well as engaging in graduate level research for the past five years and publishing two first-author papers in ACS Langmuir. In addition, I worked as a TA at VCU for all five of my years there, teaching students in introductory chemistry, general chemistry I, general chemistry II, and various lab courses.

Tutoring at Gannon University made me fall in love with teaching and fueled my desire to become a professor, leading to my decision to go to VCU for my PhD. I am extremely passionate about science and love helping students come to a place of understanding and appreciation for the material they are learning.
