"I am a Ph.D.-level chemistry tutor with over a decade of experience helping students build confidence, master challenging chemical concepts, and develop strong problem-solving skills. I make chemistry engaging through patience, humor, and a structured, results-driven approach.

I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Coordination Chemistry and Electrochemistry) from the UC San Diego/San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program. During graduate school, I taught General and Organic Chemistry labs and mentored undergraduate researchers. My students have gone on to top Ph.D. programs such as UPenn and the Instituto Catalán de Investigación Química (ICIQ) in Spain. My favorite part of graduate school was watching my mentees become independent, confident scientists. Now, I aim to help my tutoring clients in the same way - by fostering deep understanding, critical thinking, and self-reliance.

I tutor high school, college, and graduate students, covering AP Chemistry, IB Chemistry, and SAT II Chemistry at the high school level. At the college level, I specialize in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry (including organometallic chemistry). I also provide MCAT Chemistry preparation (General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry) and guidance on graduate school applications, including NSF GRFP, NIH F31/F32, and REU applications.

I tailor my tutoring approach to each student's needs. If you need to improve quickly for an exam, I break concepts down step by step and focus on problem-solving strategies. If you want a deeper understanding, I provide expert insights while reinforcing core material. I also work with students who experience test anxiety, helping them build confidence and perform under pressure. I will always keep sessions relevant to your specific chemistry course.

I offer individual and small-group tutoring (up to six students per session). If you're looking for expert chemistry tutoring, send me a message - I look forward to working with you!" less...
