"With a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, I have deep academic experience, a passion for teaching, and a love for math and science.

As a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois, I had many opportunities to train, mentor, and teach dozens of undergraduate students (age 18-21) in the laboratory and in the classroom. As a teaching assistant I taught in 5 different bioengineering courses (4 in classroom, 1 virtual) from 100 level courses up to 400 level courses, and as a researcher in the laboratory I mentored nearly a dozen students, 30% of whom went on to top medical schools after graduation.
