"I currently have my PhD in chemistry. I have been teaching General Chemistry I & II for 5 years. These topics include, but are not limited to: Fundamentals of matter, atoms, and elements, dimensional analysis, chemical equations (writing and balancing), stoichiometry, thermodynamics, gases, electrochemistry, thermochemistry, periodic table trends, chemical bonding (Lewis dot and VSEPR), naming organic more...
"I currently have my PhD in chemistry. I have been teaching General Chemistry I & II for 5 years. These topics include, but are not limited to: Fundamentals of matter, atoms, and elements, dimensional analysis, chemical equations (writing and balancing), stoichiometry, thermodynamics, gases, electrochemistry, thermochemistry, periodic table trends, chemical bonding (Lewis dot and VSEPR), naming organic and inorganic compounds, intermolecular forces, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, and Acid-Base.
I also tutor AP chemistry and can help prepare students for their AP classes as well as the AP exam. I work from practice problems and concepts from the Barron’s AP textbook, however, I can adapt to use any book my students wish to use.
My goal, as a tutor, is to help my students understand the concepts in Chemistry, understand each students need that will benefit them the best, and help students develop better test taking strategies with increased confidence. I understand that Chemistry can be a difficult subject, but I am confident that we can get through this together, so let’s overcome your challenges/obstacles and learn chemistry to improve your knowledge and obtain better grades." less...
