"I have always loved science, which led me to a college major in chemistry. During my time in undergrad I realized I wanted to continue learning so I went on to graduate school and earned a PhD in organic chemistry. While in graduate school I thoroughly enjoyed my time teaching, even earning an education fellowship. Since graduation I have spent seven years teaching lectures, labs, and problem solving sessions in both general and organic chemistry.

A great teacher can make a world of difference in how students understand and appreciate any subject, especially those in the sciences. In order to effectively teach challenging courses instructors must possess a deep understanding of the subject and be able to convey the material in a clear and logical manner to spark student interest and promote comprehension. I thoroughly enjoy helping students work through chemistry problems to develop a greater grasp of the material.
