"I'm Nathalia, I earned my PhD in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Thomas Jefferson University. My doctoral thesis work involved studying lipid regulation in T cells as well as pediatric immune dysregulation disorders. During my time at Jefferson, I was a tutor for first year PhD students in a challenging course called Foundations of Biomedical Sciences. This course covers various topics in biomedical sciences from basic cellular biology to diverse host and pathogen immunology concepts.
I graduated from Saint Joseph's University with a Chemical Biology and French Bachelors double major. In college I also tutored students in basic chemistry and biology and was a general chemistry lab TA. In this role I helped students during the laboratory course with their experimental set up as well as during the week with any of the take home assignments they had.
I have experience in tutoring cellular biology, molecular genetics, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology and virology in both the undergrad and grad levels! I am flexible and can coordinate with you a time that works best. I believe that visualizing things helps to learn so I try to incorporate that into my teaching style. In addition to being a visual learner, I also appreciate when others are patient with me when I am learning so I try to do the same for those I tutor. We can work on whatever specific material you have and whatever pace is best. Look forward to hearing from you!
In additional to topics in Biology, I also assist students with their college essays whether it be for scholarships, internships, undergraduate, and graduate level schooling. During my time in undergrad and graduate school I took various writing courses that helped strengthen my own writing skills and I hope to help you as well!
Please contact me and and let me know what you need help in and we can work something out! I am flexible in my schedule as well as my teaching practices." less...
