"I am originally from Pennsylvania, where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics in 2016 from Shippensburg University as well as completed a minor in Mathematics. I completed 32 credits of math courses despite the minor only requiring 18 credits. I was a tutor in the physics department for 2 years and helped students with homework problems as well as preparing for tests. It is always rewarding to see students succeed in something they thought impossible! I moved to Tennessee to start my path toward a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Tennessee. There, I was a Teaching Assistant which required helping students understand the material for the course more. I achieved my PhD in April 2020 and currently work as an Applications Scientist in Upstate NY.
As stated above, I have completed 32 credits of Math courses at the university level. Classes have included, for example, algebra, all three levels of calculus, differential equations, partial differential equations, complex analysis, and linear algebra. My work in engineering and physics is also demanding with mathematics which keeps my brain fresh on these topics. Math and science have always been my favorite subject areas. So for my studies I have combined the two by pursuing a career in engineering. Engineering is demanding in mathematics skills as well as scientific knowledge. I use calculus and algebra on a daily basis for simple and complex calculations to compliment my work in the lab. If you are interested in using my help to succeed in your math courses, feel free to contact me. I would be happy to provide more information and answer any questions you may have!" less...
