"Hi, my name is Natalie and I am a PhD chemist who specializes in organic chemistry. I have been an associate instructor at Indiana University for 18 semesters organic chemistry and biochemistry courses, ranging from the introductory to graduate level. I have taught a range of classroom sizes, including small discussions, laboratory courses, and even two semesters where I was the head associate instructor for a 500 person organic chemistry lecture.

I was a highly sought after associate instructor in my chemistry department, being requested by teaching faculty due to my understanding and ability to convey course material to students. Due to this I received the Herman Briscoe teaching fellowship, where I was the head instructor for them department's general chemistry laboratory course, running and teaching a 150 person course.

Graduate school made me realize I had a passion for teaching and mentoring. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also been a private tutor for 15 students, guiding them to success in their organic chemistry courses. Out of all the course sizes I've taught, I find the one-on-one format to be my favorite as it allows me to get real-time feedback on student's understanding and tailor lessons to their needs.
