"When it comes to tutoring, my expertise is in Calculus (AP, IB, AB, BC, 1, 2, 3, Multivariable, Vector, Differential, Integral, Series, Sequences). I believe in making math feel less intimidating! My approach is to build a strong visual and intuitive understanding of the concepts first, so things don’t just feel like a bunch of rules to memorize. With that foundation, comes the practice, starting with easier questions and gradually tackling harder ones to make sure no test is an issue. I like to keep the atmosphere relaxed and fun, encouraging questions without hesitation, so everyone feels comfortable and confident while learning.
My tutoring journey began my senior year of high school, where I volunteered to help with the AP Calculus BC course after I scored a 5/5 on the AP exam the previous year. From there, I expanded to tutoring subjects like algebra, precalculus, and the full calculus sequence during my undergrad years. By the time I reached my Master's, I was not only tutoring but also serving as a teaching assistant for calculus courses. Now, as a PhD student, I’m teaching my own calculus classes and still tutoring students across a range of math topics. I’ve worked with students of all ages, from middle schoolers to college students, so I’m comfortable adjusting my teaching style to meet each person’s needs.
I’ve been immersed in mathematics for most of my life, and I absolutely love sharing that passion with others. After completing my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in just two years, graduating magna cum laude and winning the undergraduate math award, I went on to earn a Master’s in Mathematics the following year. Now, I’m working on my PhD in Mathematics, and my love for teaching and tutoring has only grown stronger along the way." less...
