"Hi! My name is Noah, I graduated with my PhD in mechanical engineering from UT Austin, and I've been helping students like you since 2012. I started tutoring in high school when a friend was struggling in a class I took the year before. I remembered how confusing the teacher made it seem and how simple it was when someone explained it in a way that resonated with me. I know from experience that there are as many styles of learning as there are people, and I try to tailor my lessons to each individual student.
I know that when you focus on understanding the material, good grades will come. That's why my goal is first to help you understand the world around you, then to teach you how to apply that understanding.
I have experience tutoring many subjects such as:
-Math: elementary math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Differential Equations, Probability, Statistics, and Time Series Analysis
-Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics (mechanics and E&M), and Fire Science
-Engineering: Dynamics, System Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Statics, Mechanics of Solids, Material Science, Mechatronics/Circuit Analysis, Control Systems, Statistical Process Control, and MATLAB
I have helped students prepare for various standardized tests, and I scored highly in the SAT (800 Reading, 790 Math, 760 Writing), ACT (36 Math, 34 English, 34 Reading, 34 Science), GRE (167 Math, 165 Verbal, 4.5 Writing), and SAT Subject Tests (800 Physics, 790 Chemistry, 790 Math II)
I can also help students prepare for AP Exams. The AP Exams I took and their scores are:
Calculus AB (5), Calculus BC (5), Physics 1 (5), Chemistry (5), World History (5), Macroeconomics (5), US History (4), American Government (4), Psychology (4), English Lang. and Comp. (4), English Lit. and Comp. (4)
I am available 7 days a week and am more than happy to schedule sessions on short notice. I look forward to working with you, and please don't be afraid to reach out!" less...
