I am a college professor with over seven years of teaching experience in higher education. My educational background spans three disciplines. I hold a PhD in Psychology, Master's degrees in Statistics and Psychology, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. I love to instill in students the same passion for learning that motivates me to be a life-long learner. Moreover, I am strongly committed to making learning fun, increasing access to education, academic excellence, and social justice.

As an educator, I have developed and taught high quality courses such as statistics, research methods, and other courses in the undergraduate psychology curriculum. I have trained students in SPSS and I am proficient in R/SAS. I enjoy in-person as well as online teaching and learning modalities to adapt to the needs of my students. By making the best use of technology for course delivery, I ensure that students in my courses are fully engaged with easy-to-access course content from a variety of sources. When I prepare for class, I ensure to choose examples that students can relate to, by integrating current events and issues pertinent to pop culture. For instance, in my statistics course, I designed an assignment about students’ favorite YouTube videos in which they learned about variables and scales of measurement through the number of views, likes, and dislikes of YouTube videos.

My aggregate course evaluation rating bears testimony to my commitment to teaching excellence. In the recent past, my efforts were recognized by a Faculty Excellence Award from the Southwestern Ohio Council of Higher Education.
