"I'm passionate about helping individuals of all ages—from children to teenagers and adults—become strong thinkers, readers, and writers. With a PhD in Literacy Education and a Master's in Journalism, I bring lots of experience in supporting learners to improve their reading and writing skills.

Over the years, I've taught English and Chinese to elementary and middle schoolers in both the U.S. and China. I taught college-level classes on children's literature, reading, and writing for six years. Additionally, I've authored and translated three books, including a 6th-grade writing handbook for English and Chinese bilingual students. As both a teacher and education researcher, I am dedicated to working with school teachers to improve reading and writing instruction using research-based and innovative methods.

My teaching approach is centered on making reading and writing meaningful and enjoyable, fostering a lifelong love of learning. I like to personalizing tutoring sessions to meet the unique needs of each learner.
