"Hi there! I graduated with honors in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry (GPA 3.6), and am currently a fourth year graduate student working and studying in a university medical research lab, pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Science / Cell & Developmental Biology (GPA 3.9). During my undergraduate work I was a teaching assistant for a year in biochemistry, helping students with science writing and lots of hands-on experimental work, and I'm most comfortable supporting students at the undergraduate level and high school students taking advanced courses like AP Chemistry. I'm also eager to help high school students with standardized test prep, after receiving a 35 ACT score prior to my college journey. I tutored several students last school year in biology, chemistry, and anatomy/physiology at the high school and college level.
My goal is to help students get to where they want to be from where they are, whether that's a high college entrance exam score, an improved grade in a tough class, or a clear and compelling essay. We'll work on the weak spots and not waste time on what they already know. I've worked with lots of different learning styles and will happily adapt to whatever works best, any insights early on about how you or your student learn will be a great help to us both. Our first meeting will likely include a discussion about what you or your student are hoping to get out of a tutor, and anything you feel is important for me to know so I can make the most of our time together. I do this because I enjoy helping students succeed and will happily adapt my approach if things aren't working for you.
I aim to respond same-day to all messages and will have as flexible of a schedule as I can with my own school and work. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!" less...
