"Hi everyone! My name is Mitchell - although I currently have my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, I'm currently a doctoral candidate in the PhD in Clinical Psychology program at Hofstra University and completing my residency at MUSC. I was previously an Adjunct Professor teaching undergraduate psychology classes.

Previously, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stony Brook University with a Bachelors in Psychology with a concentration in Sociology. I've been involved in clinical (psychological) research since I was an undergrad and went on to become a research coordinator in a study investigating the impact of trauma on psychological and physical health. I've had years of experience with research methods, statistical analysis, manuscript writing and clinical interviewing. My experiences with research and clinical work has laid the foundation for me to accurately assist students in statistics, writing, psychology, and other related fields.

I hope to encourage a collaborative process in tutoring, to work together to achieve the student's academic goals. Learning is a journey that doesn't occur simply by one listening to a teacher, or having the teacher proofread writings, but providing the student with skills to apply to a variety of academic disciplines. Together, we will determine your goals for tutoring and I will assist you with these goals by providing knowledge obtained from my past experiences, as well as providing feedback and resources that will be useful to achieve these goals beyond tutoring lessons.
