"I embarked on my tutoring journey during my undergraduate studies, dedicating four years to teaching in middle school and high school afterschool programs, all while maintaining a 3.84 GPA. Following graduation, I contributed to the CDC, where I honed my skills in R programming and conducted statistical analyses to detect anomalies in Hepatitis B case reporting.
Subsequently, I pursued a master's degree in epidemiology at Yale, focusing on infectious diseases, research design, and statistics. During this time, I served as a teaching assistant for courses such as Introduction to Epidemiology and Vaccines and Vaccine Preventable Diseases. Upon completing my master's degree, I continued my academic journey as a Postgraduate Researcher, earning authorship on two published papers for which I was the primary contributor responsible for statistical analysis.
Presently, I am enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Colorado State University within the Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology Program. My commitment to education extends beyond my formal studies, embodying a belief in a growth mindset. I firmly believe that everyone can master any subject with the right guidance and motivation. I view the brain as a muscle that requires exercise to flourish.
In my teaching approach, I strive to foster a dynamic and engaging environment. I craft relevant examples that resonate with students, making complex concepts more accessible. I promote active learning, encouraging students to tackle problems using all five senses whenever possible.
If you're a high school, undergraduate, or graduate student grappling with statistics, math, data science, or R programming, I'm here to help you overcome challenges and achieve your academic goals!" less...
