"I have been teaching and tutoring for over twenty years and I like working with a variety of students. I specialize in helping students articulate their narratives based on their short and long-term goals. I have taught at a variety of schools where I advised students. I am always researching current trends in higher education in order to help guide my students. I really enjoy writing and I have published several articles. In addition, I have been awarded several grants which I have written myself.

High school students can look forward to focusing on preparation for college. I have years of experience working on the common app as well as the UC common app applications. As a former teacher and tutor for Kaplan, I understand how to train students to excel in standardized testing. In addition, to preparing students for testing, I continue to teach as a professor; therefore, I know what type of skills and experiences are expected for college. I enjoy helping students prepare for college whether it's through tutoring through various subjects, writing college essays, and/or selecting the college that is for you.

In addition to specializing in college prep, I enjoy working with younger students as well. I try to make learning creative and challenging. We will work together and not move forward until the student feels comfortable with whatever subject we are working on at the time. I believe in making sure we have a positive atmosphere in order to motivate students to learn effectively.

No matter what level I am teaching, I do assign homework at the end of each session to ensure we are always working on a higher goal.
