I began working for the university while finishing my degree and have worked in the IT industry for 17 years. I'm presently working as a Network Design Architect with a focus on Linux System Administration.
I've programmed in PHP for over a decade and have tutored in Java. I've also used MySQL for the same amount of time. I have a background in C & C++ as well as Java. I've helped setup and configure my children's school network and I maintain several servers as well as approximately 70 desktops.
I taught classes in Access for four years and have used other databases extensively (Oracle, Sql Server, MySQL). Ive written several database-enabled websites in PHP and MySQL. I've been using Linux for two decades and am currently working in a Linux System Administration role maintaing approximately 160 servers.
I've been playing Chess since I was five years old. My grandfather taught me to play and he was taught by a grandmaster. I've learned to look several moves ahead and anticipate what might be coming next.
