"Greetings,
I have several years (~7) of collegiate teaching experience in Physical Geography (five-credit Lab courses), Physical Sciences, Environmental Issues, Meteorology and Climatology. I will be teaching courses on some of these subjects in the coming spring semester and additionally teaching a course on World Regional Geography.
My undergraduate major was in Physical and Environmental Geography at UW-Whitewater (1997-2001). I took 60 credits in Geography with courses in: Physical Geography, Environmental Issues, Meteorology, Climatology, Geomorphology, Human Geography and even a travel study course to Europe. My GPA in Geography was 3.9 (two B's, the rest A's)and my overall GPA was 3.43 (Cum Laude). My minor was in History.
I attended The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) as a Master's Student (2001 - 2005). The Geography Department at Penn State was the number one rated Geography Program in the nation during this time. The courses I took here (33 credits) were in Physical Geography, Climatology, Environmental Issues and Human Geography. My GPA was 3.62. My master's thesis title was: "Vegetation Boundary Effects on Summertime Tornado-Genesis in the Midwest United States 'Corn Belt.'"
I have taught several years as an adjunct (part-time) and full-time instructor, primarily within the University of Wisconsin System, at 4-year and 2-year schools. My research interest has been in the climatology of severe weather events, primarily tornadoes. I have presented my research at four national Geography conferences (AAG's).
I would be willing to meet people in the northern Wisconsin area in-person and/or assist anyone via email, telephone or other online 'meeting' sources.
Cheers!
