"I'm Carly! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Misericordia University with a B.S. in Sports Management. I'm currently in my last year of PT school working towards my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I have 3 years of experience as a teaching assistant in the undergraduate anatomy and physiology lab, and my PT coursework and clinical experience has provided me with further anatomy and physiology knowledge. I have 3 years of tutoring experience through Numerade, where I answered both textbook questions and student-submitted questions with explanation videos. The students I tutored were a mixture of high school and college students. Subjects I tutored included health science, biology, business, and statistics.

My goal with tutoring is to simplify learning as much as possible. I prefer to first listen to the student's input on the material they are struggling most with and build the sessions around this material. However, I am able to preparing more generalized material in a lesson format if that better fits the student's needs. Sessions can be centered around physiology, anatomy, or a mixture of both, depending on the student’s needs. Additionally, I plan to share some of my personal study resources that helped me to learn the material when I was studying it. I am open to tutoring both high school and college students.

I played 5 years of collegiate soccer and am now a marathon runner. I've taken several exercise prescription courses through my PT program. I would love to use my fitness experience to instruct students who are interested in learning more about fitness and exercise prescription. My approach to this includes first listening to the student’s personal fitness goals, past experience, equipment availability, and time constraints. I then build a specific fitness plan for the student, and check back in every 1-2 weeks to touch base and update the plan as needed.
