"I am a graduate of the Commonwealth Honor's College and College of Natural Sciences at UMass Amherst, with a bachelors of science in physics. I have strong fundamental knowledge in the field, with some specialization in biophysics and soft-matter, with a deep understanding of multi-dimensional calculus, linear algebra, complex analysis, and geometry/trigonometry.
As an upperclassman I TA'd for the introductory physics course and held office hours. This experience gave me invaluable hands-on tutoring experience in the classroom, over-zoom, and other organized meetings. These ranged from teachings groups of students in class, to one-on-one help sessions. I also had the unique responsibility of scanning future homework and tests for potential confusing material for freshman physics students- this required an understanding of how to communicate and simplify complex topics for novice academics. Overall I am a visual teacher, and can break down complex concepts and problems for easier digestion.
I only have experience tutoring adults in a college setting, but am open to tutoring advanced math and introductory physics topics for high-school students. I prefer to meet over Zoom but can meet in-person." less...
