Working with students grades 6-11 has taught me the importance of initially understanding each students learning style along with their strengths and weaknesses. I have found that most young students can be engaged in the learning process when the material directly reflects their interests. As a middle school teacher I would create a unique worksheet for each class section that pertained to the students within that section. This helps allow engagement from each student over the course of the lesson. In one on one settings, it is important to value the students interests in order to curate a relationship that is centered around education but focuses on their interests to garner engagement.
My degrees in physics have taught me much about the foundation of math and science. Although my most experienced field is with the seventh grade curriculum, I believe that I can properly teach all levels of math through college. I can also help with high school physics or college physics 1,2 and 3." less...
