"I received my Bachelors of Science in Physics with a Minor in Mathematics at San Francisco State University and just a few classes shy away from obtaining my Mathematics degree. I was acknowledged and received the Eden Academic Excellence Award in Physics and have done research in both Radio Physics and Searching for Cold Dark Matter with a concentration in Astrophysics, which provided a platform for higher mathematics and computer programming. Combining this knowledge with my individual ideas, I enjoy helping students write code and delving into the mysteries of the cosmos.
I began private tutoring for students in the teaching credential program at California State University, Fullerton. Later, I tutored physics and math at SFSU and taught overseas in Madrid, Spain. I completely understand the rigors of both Science and Math that students face today. I truly enjoy seeing students have that "aha moment" when working on problem sets. I think that each individual student has the ability to grasp and interpret the subject based on her/his talent.
Although I focused in Astrophysics, I have experience in: Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Theoretical Physics and Computational Physics. I truly enjoy conveying the beauty of Physics and the language it uses in Mathematics. I urge the students to discover for themselves, discuss the problems with their classmates, and ask appropriate questions during the class or during the office hours.
My goal is to provide a learning style for students so that they can leave the tutoring session with pure understanding in their subject. I have a unique teaching style that is essential for getting good grades and for learning the core topics. Lets work together in reaching your GPA and test score goals!
