"Hello! My name is Monica, I've completed a PhD in theoretical Physics from Penn State University, and I have over 12 years of experience helping students from all different backgrounds. I like to consider their personalities and interests when trying to help them achieve their goals.

I started my educational career as a coach for the Colombian team representing the country at the International Physics Olympiads. Later, I worked as a teaching assistant for (thousands of) undergraduate STEM college majors over the span of a decade -for algebra-based and calculus-based courses, such as classical mechanics, thermodynamics, modern physics, electromagnetism, among others. I have worked as a full-time calculus-based physics lecturer, and finally, I have helped most kids in my family with their homework, just for fun. I have a passion for teaching and learning, I'm constantly learning about the best teaching methods, and I believe that understanding each individual’s motivations and personality is key to helping students enjoy the subject and reach their full potential.
