"My educational background includes a bachelors in physics with minor in mathematics from Ohio State University. I am currently enrolled as a Ph.D student in physics at Ohio State University. I have taken multiple courses on how to teach physics, provided by the OSU physics department.

My previous experience is 2 years of TA experience in physics for undergraduate first-year physics students. The classes I have been a TA for are roughly equivalent to the AP physics courses offered in high school. Being a TA involves teaching recitation and lab, holding review sessions, holding office hours for one-on-one help, grading assignments, and providing general advice for students. During my undergraduate years I was a part of a research group that frequently took in new students, I was responsible for training and giving out tasks to new students.

I try to employ teaching methods that have been shown to be more effective for physics students. These things involve not telling a student exactly how to do something, asking leading questions, and relating the equations they see to real world examples." less...
