"Hi! My name is Emily and I have many years of tutoring experience. I began tutoring as a volunteer back in college, working with students of all ages. I loved the unique challenge of finding what makes each student succeed and thrive academically.

As a tutor, I make every effort to understand what makes my students confident in their academics so that they may best achieve their goals. I create tailored lesson plans and study guides for each session.

I recently completed Masters of Biomedical Science from Rutgers University. In my graduate degree, I studied primarily Biochemistry, Biology, Physiology and Neuroscience. I conducted research in Neuroscience investigating the therapeutic use of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) in pediatric mouse models after sustained closed head injury. Prior to my graduate degree, I studied at Columbia University in New York City and completed the Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program where I completed coursework in Biology, Physics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Statistics. While completing my undergraduate degree at Syracuse University, I studied abroad in South America for 6 months. While abroad, I learned to speak Spanish with confidence and enjoy using Spanish in my personal and professional life today.

I enjoy tutoring students of all ages and subjects such as physical sciences and Spanish. I love to learn and I welcome any opportunity to tutor anything you might need help with.
