"I have over 20 years of experience teaching literature, composition, and creative writing at the high school and college level, including Johns Hopkins and Georgetown. As an award-winning fiction writer, I have edited manuscripts and helped students in all stages of their writing process, from brainstorming to revising. I have also helped students write compelling, authentic college application essays. My students have been accepted to Amherst, Berkeley, Colgate, Oberlin, Reed, and Vassar. Students describe me as caring, dedicated, knowledgeable, responsive, and patient. I have a B.A. from Pomona College and a PhD in English literature from Johns Hopkins.
